The last of the Carib Indians were known to inhabit Dominica. It is mountainous and has thick almost vertical forests. The island capital Roseau, has twin waterfalls about 2 miles Layou and Pagoua. There are beautiful beaches, but they are often deserted. Dominica is known more for being the Nature Island.
